Studio 29 is a six-figure photography business that I built from the ground up. I learned all the tough lessons of building a business the hard way so you don’t have to.

In 2010, right out of college, I was working full time as a personal trainer & part time in an accounting office.
But, I knew I wanted to be a photographer so I started Studio 29 Photography.
I moved to Washington DC and photographed e-commerce for Puma, Seventeen Magazine, Aldo, and others, but realized I wanted more human connection and emotion in my work. So I moved back to WI and continued to grow Studio 29 Photography.
Today, my husband Caleb and I, photograph weddings on the weekends together.
During the week, I photograph brands, families, food, and everything else that finds its way in front of my camera.
I am so proud to have created this business, because I sure-as-hell didn't foresee this back when I purchased the "Foto-29" domain in 2010.
9 years later, 300+ weddings, over 200 families, several awards & publications and plenty of brands later; Here I Am!
Caleb & I are proud to see Studio 29 Photography work and my clients featured in a number of publications, including those listed below. Browse a few of my recent favorites...
After looking through Ren's photos nothing else compared. BUT - Ren and Caleb's talent and the quality of the product you get from Studio 29 is only part of the package. Once we MET the two of them, we were so impressed by how authentic and down to earth they are. This is not just a transaction for them; they genuinely love what they do and are interested in getting to know their couples & how to best capture their personalities on their wedding day. During our engagement session (which was the first time either of us had taken professional photos) Ren made us feel super comfortable and relaxed. By the time we got to the wedding day it felt like we were just hanging out with friends. Their relaxed demeanor & fun personalities made the day that much more memorable. Following the work of Studio 29 sets a high bar for expectations when it comes to your wedding day - and they FAR exceeded what we hoped for! The photos are the most incredible representation of one of the most magical days - I couldn't imagine working with anyone else!
We’ve had such wonderful responses to the photography over the past months that I cannot even express how much it has improved our business. The photos have given us a heightened sense of legitimacy which has helped our catering bookings grow organically, and helped bring people to our events :) I'm so looking forward to seeing where we both are in the next couple of years!
I met Ren + Caleb when they photographed our wedding in 2015. Since then Ren has grown to be one of my closest friends & biggest inspirations as I’ve launched my food photography business. Her gift behind the camera is obvious as you look at her work, but what continues to blow me away is how freely she shares her knowledge to lift others up. Advice she’s given me about my camera, lenses, set up, and working with clients has helped me build the 6-figure photography business I never dreamed I could have.
