My entire life, I’ve been a very driven person. My unwavering motivation is what led me to build a successful photography business and grow the House Fur blog so quickly.

But even though I’m driven and passionate, I still have a lot of fears. I still doubt myself or get caught up in my head. I get nervous about posting new things that go farther out there.

I’ve taken so many online classes and love them. But, nothing has helped and/or influenced me more this year than the books; Everything Is Figureoutable by Marie Forleo & Heavier Than Heaven: Kurt Cobain Biography by Charles R. Cross.

These books taught me how to face and embrace my fears. They completely changed the way that I think about fear. Fear shouldn’t mean that it’s time to stop or to hold myself back. In fact, fear means that I should get up & go because it’s just my brain feeling uncomfortable with change or a challenge!

There’s something magical that happens when you change your reality thanks to the power of a physical book. I often read pages or even entire chapters over and over again before moving onward. I want to absorb everything that I can!

Even though physical books are “going out of styleâ€, I know that there are fellow book lovers out there!

To get that book lover in your life the perfect gift, I wrote a special gift guide just for us book worms.
