Whew! What a week!!

I edited and had meetings early in the week and then I took a quick, BUT AMAZING, trip to Denver, Colorado to photograph Joey & Byron’s sweet little 3 week old boy, Harrison.

The flight there was great, except for when I went to the bathroom and walked in on a man with his pants completely down and his butt completely out.

Luckily, the flight attendant was right next to me and said, “Oh boy! Not only did he not lock the door, but he’s peeing in complete darkness!â€

I turned around quickly and went to the back of the plane, luckily he wasn’t the gentleman sitting directly next to me!

When I arrived at Joey’s home I instantly started clicking photos… Harrison is truly SO adorable, I couldn’t help myself! I loved all of Harrison’s adorable swaddle blankets & cute little clothes. I could have photographed him for days and never gotten bored! I a so happy I got to meet him during his infancy!

After a full day of photos and hanging out with Harrison we ordered take-out Thai food. It was so tasty! I think it is our ritual – we always have the tastiest Thai when I visit them.

Upon my return, I was lucky enough to meet my friends Jordan + Tony’s new baby boy Charlie! He was only 4 days old and just sweet as pie!

On Saturday morning, we hosted our first event at our studio space! Together with MKSocial, we hosted a floral arrangement workshop taught by Liz of Floral Alchemy. Each attendee got to take home a beautifully constructed floral arrangement with local & in-season blooms procured by Liz. I am so excited this first event went so well! I cannot wait to host more! Stay tuned – we are having a calligraphy workshop in June & I plan to teach some photography related workshops!

And then on Sunday . . .

We had breakfast at Colectivo before adopting a new house plant; Philodendron “Hope”. And then in the afternoon we attended the Coastal Seafood Boil at Hotel Madrid. We had potatoes, shrimp, crawfish. coleslaw, jambalaya, and gumbo. The weather was chilly, but the sun was shining so we sat outside on the newly opened patio. Everything about this event was incredible and I cannot wait to attend more as the weather continues to get nicer.
