I don’t mean to throw my husband under the bus here (sorry Caleb), but he isn’t super excited about eating or “drinking” all the fruits and veggies as I am. But, that all has changed thanks to Imperfect Produce. Imperfect Produce is actually perfect for making fresh cold-pressed juice right at home!

I love juicing, but a minor downside is how much organic produce can cost every week & how often I have to visit the grocery store. So, to save time & money, I decided to try out Imperfect Produce, and to my surprise, it is actually perfect for juicing!

We started with a subscription to Imperfect Produce, and I’m IN LOVE with the service. Besides being just a really awesome box of goodies delivered to my doorstep, it is also super good for the environment and really helps lessen food waste in America. I really love how socially responsible Imperfect Produce is.

Did you know, according to FeedingAmerica.Org, more than 20 billion pounds of produce goes to waste every year?!

Imperfect produce chooses quality fruits and vegetables that are otherwise destined for the landfill and sends them straight to your doorstep. They aren’t necessarily ready for their photo “close-up” as they are either too small, too big, or too ugly for the supermarket shelves, but they are perfect for using in your favorite cold-press juice recipes.

I love juicing fruits and veggies every morning and have been trying to get my husband on board with the idea too. Juicing is so good for you and a great way to start the day, and is the perfect use for Imperfect produce deliveries. I love how easy it is to make healthy cold-press juices at home every day. Imperfect Produce saves me money, is a great way to start my morning, and is delicious too!

My 2 Favorite Cold-Press Juice Recipes:

Carrot, Apple, Ginger, and Lime Juice

This one is my favorite, and I probably drink it 2 or 3 times a week. It’s the perfect burst of energy and antioxidants for the morning.

  • 2 Apples (Peeled and Cored)
  • 8 Carrots
  • 1 Lime
  • 1/2″ – 1″ Piece of Ginger (adjust to taste, if you like it a little spicier, add more)

Beet, Carrot, Apple, and Lemon Juice

You have to juice this one to get the best mixture, starting with beets, apples, carrots, and lemon. This one has a little thicker consistency and should be served over ice. I have read somewhere that you can add a scoop of chia seeds to this for a dash of extra energy, but I haven’t tried it yet. You’re supposed to stir in the chia seeds and let them soak for 5 minutes before serving.

  • 2 Beets
  • 2 Apples (Peeled and Cored)
  • 4 Carrots
  • 1 Lemon

Another add-in to this juice that is supposed to be awesome is pineapple, but I haven’t tried it since I haven’t gotten one in my imperfect produce box yet. I may have to head to the store to get a fresh pineapple for this recipe, though. It sounds so good!

Do you have a favorite juice recipe you can share with me?
