Have you ever cut down your own Christmas tree?  I think it is much more exciting to cut down your own tree compared to getting your tree in a tree lot.

Caleb and I did it for the first time 2 years ago. We loved it! We didn’t do it last year because we were traveling and out of town photographing weddings for the majority of the holiday season. Sadly, we didn’t even get to hang up holiday lights either.

But – that won’t happen this year!! We ARE GOING to have a tree in our house – even it means uprooting it and tying it to the roof of our car like the Griswold family.

Cutting your own Christmas tree is so fun because it makes me really appreciate the time of year.

I love picking out the perfect one and envisioning what it will look like in our home.

Even if you live in an urban area like Milwaukee you can easily find a Christmas tree farm not too far away – – but, I promise, even a bit of a drive will be worth it!

Get outdoors, enjoy a fun family experience, and come home with the perfect Christmas Tree!
