I love a simple Vodka + Selzer, but I occasionally waiver to other spirits and craft cocktails. I think I’ll be sipping on a Vesper Martini this New Year’s Eve because, as you may or may not know, I am a huge James Bond fan! Casino Royale is my favorite of the Bond movies starring Daniel Craig.

The Vesper, also known as the Vesper Martini, was made famous by James Bond. The cocktail was invented by none other than Bond author Ian Fleming. The drink first appeared in his book Casino Royale, which was published in 1953, and it’s named for the fictional double agent Vesper Lynd.
