One of our favorite things is walking the dogs and going to lunch or dinner. Luckily, there are multiple dog-friendly restaurants in Milwaukee.
Need help deciding where to dine with your doggy? Check out our favorite Milwaukee Dog-Friendly Restaurants!
National Cafe // 2839 W. National Ave
nationaleats.com
If you were looking for the most quintessential cafe in Milwaukee, look no further. National Cafe has everything I need in a cafe: dog-friendly outdoor patio with a fountain, incredible breakfast + lunch food (please try the Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich), a busy but motivating environment, and the most friendly staff.
Cafe Centraal // 2306 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.cafecentraal.com
We love this Bay View Brunch/Lunch/Dinner/Drinks staple that is relatively close to our home! We also love how early they open! 7 a.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. on weekends! *Fun Fact: Caleb and I enjoyed our very first brunch together at this restaurant back in 2013 when I moved to Milwaukee.
Colectivo Coffee // Multiple locations throughout Milwaukee area colectivocoffee.com
Milwaukee’s most famous coffee shops; our favorites are the Bay View or Lakefront locations. We visit the Bay View location with the swings about 2 or more times during the week for breakfast before taking the dogs for a walk. And we visit the Lakefront location on the weekends to get coffee and a bite to eat before walking the dogs along the Lake.
Palomino Bar // 2491 S. Superior palominobar.com
Best fried chicken dinner in the city (according to us), huge whiskey selection, AND allows dogs = Perfection!
Transfer // 101 W. Mitchell St. transfermke.com
We frequent this gem because we love the dog-friendly outdoor seating, the spinach and artichoke dip, the happy hour specials, and of course the wide selection of AMAZING pizza!
Cafe Benelux // 346 N. Broadway cafebenelux.com
We like visiting Cafe Benelux because the outdoor patio allows dogs and is located in the Third Ward is the perfect place to walk to the dogs afterward.
The Iron Horse Hotel // 500 W. Florida St. theironhorsehotel.com
We love the Iron Horse Hotel because during the colder months of the year it is hard to find places to bring our dogs. The Iron Horse Hotel allows dogs in the main lobby where you can enjoy food + drinks. This Hotel is great for the warmer months too because they have a super chic dog-friendly outdoor patio bar and oftentimes there is live music!
Fuel Cafe // 630 S 5th ST fuelcafe.com
We love Fuel Cafe because it is close to home, a great place to walk the dogs after eating or snagging a coffee, their great WIFI connection, the motorcycle enthusiast environment (we love our bikes), and they have the best avocado toast!!
Anodyne Coffee: Bay View // 2920 S. Kinnickinnic anodynecoffee.com
Anodyne Coffee in Bay View is about a 17-minute walk from our house. Which makes it the perfect spot to walk the dogs, snag a table outside, and order a pizza or a round of caffeinated beverages. My favorite beverage of choice is Iced Coffee, no cream, no sugar. Anodyne is dog-friendly and even puts out bowls of water for all the doggies that dine-in or are just passing by.
Remember to keep your dog on a leash and clean up after them so that everyone can have an amazing dining experience! Bone Appetit!
